To participate in the Albemarle Craftsman's Fair, you must be a member of the Guild. To become a member of the Guild, you must have your work juried or screened. Screening is held twice a year, February 15 and May 15. Once you are accepted into the Guild you may participate in the Fair. Your work does not have to be juried again unless you change or add to your craft category, you have not participated in one fair in the first two years of membership and your dues are not current. 

The Guild prides itself on having a high quality Fair. The Standards Committee is changed each time and consists of members with crafts like those being screened. Who better to know the quality of a turned bowl than another wood turner.

It is advisable to enter three or more of your best pieces. Slides and pictures are not accepted.

The Screening Committee will look for smooth finishes, pieces finished on all sides, no sharp edges and many more areas where they can determine if you have mastered the craft.
